The Estimator supports the estimating team in preparing detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, for civil construction projects. This role involves close collaboration with senior estimators, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost estimates.
Job Duties:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Evaluate project risks and incorporate contingency plans into estimates.
- Recommend cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to align on project scope and budget
- Monitor market trends for material price changes and adjust estimates accordingly
- Track and document changes in project scope and provide updated cost estimates to clients.
