Description
Cost control and value engineering team for two new buildings at Stony Brook University. The Medical & Research Translation (MART) Building is a 9-story 255,212sf building which will include classrooms, a 300-seat auditorium, cyclotron, exam rooms on levels 5 and 6, labs on levels 7, 8, and 9. The Bed Tower is a 10- story 261,550sf building designed to accommodate 10 future stories. This building includes 150 patient rooms on levels 6, 7,8 and 9, operating rooms, MRI facility, emergency room, loading dock, cafeteria, and public areas. Additional services include all MEP installations, signage/wayfinding, a complicated MAT foundation and high-end curtain walls for both buildings, and site development including retaining walls, roadways, and sidewalks.
